Veteran politicians laud BN's spirit of consensus as Malaysians celebrated the 51st anniversary of Malaysia, three veteran political leaders lauded BN and its predecessor the Alliance for administering the country well.

Datuk Seri S.Samy Vellu, the former MIC President and Works Minister, Datuk Mustapha Yaakub, Secretary General of UMNO Malaysia Veteran Club and Serdang MP for three terms, were of the view that the 13 Barisan Nasional component parties, representing all the communities, had set the nation on the right course despite their diverse backgrounds and leadership styles.
